Royal Perth Show 2011 Part 2: The games and fireworks

This post is a continuation from Part 1 here.

Well, obviously when we went to the funfair, we would be spending some money on games and showbags, just like everyone else. Hehe. We bought a Mickey Mouse showbag for Chin Fei's niece and Hui Min was hunting for an Elmo (from Sesame Street) showbag but it was all sold out because it was the last day of the event. The Elmo was really cute actually!!! What a pity.

This year, Chin Fei wasn't as lucky as in the previous time when he won me a big Chick to carry home.  But it was more of having the fun when playing the game, rather than winning something. Well, of course, winning the huge toy would be an icing on the cake but because Chin Fei was so busy and stressed with work, I'm really glad that he cared to take me out and spend some time with me as well as unwinding from his stressful work. :) We did win a couple of small toys, including a dog, which will all be given to Chin Fei's niece. She must really be happy to have so many toys to play with!! :)

But really, to think of it, the games are not always fair. It really is hard to have your bouncy ball rolled into a plastic bucket because the ball can bounce out again! And they will eliminate anyone who tries to throw the ball that touch the rim of the bucket first. Or even worse, to hit a metal plate with a plastic hollow ball. That is so cunning! And each game costs at least $5! Well, I'm quite kiasu, so I didn't play any games because I didn't want to lose any money. Hahaha. :P

Chin Fei has to knockdown all 3 Coke glass bottle with a soft ball that must be thrown from behind a line, underneath a stick.

Hui Min has to target a ball into a loop to have her teddy climb up the bar and reach the top

Hui Min has to shoot down all 10 aluminium tin cans with a cork. Forgot how many chances she was given to win the game

This year's fireworks was fantastic! When we were there in 2009, it was a musical fireworks. It was the same this year as well, with an extra touch - 3D glasses or something like that. Unfortunately, we didn't get our IGA showbags that has the glasses in them but I looked through someone's glasses and boy, it looked different with the glasses on. Somehow, the glasses made the fireworks had more different colours so it was very pretty! But it was very pretty enough without the glasses itself - like how fireworks are meant to be anyway. Have a look at the pictures below - credits to Chin Fei for his still hands (he didn't bring along his tripod), although you can see that in most of the pictures, the moon is a bit distorted, but yet, the pictures are still nice! :)

 Love this a lot!

This is very nice too. :)
