Early of last month, Hui Min, Chin Fei and I went to the Perth Royal Show in held in Showgrounds. This event is held annually during the school holidays where parents are expected to bring their kids there to have fun and waste money on showbags so that the kids can brag to their peers when school reopens after the holiday. Hehe.
The last time Chin Fei and I had fun in the Royal Show was in 2009. We didn't plan on going to this year's event until 2 days before the last day, that Chin Fei saw on the newspaper advertisement that there was an exhibition on dinosaurs of some sort and Chin Fei knows that I LOVE dinosaurs so he decided to take this small little kid there. Tee hee hee. Furthermore, this year's guest nation was Malaysia and we thought we should support it all the more!! :P
Now, I don't want to be blogging about the same event because everything was the same! The games, the animals, the events. So have a read on my previous post in 2009 if you missed that. This post is about more awesome things that we didn't get a chance to see in the last visit. Hehe.
1) More cute animals!

That cheeky chick is more interested at the T-shirt Hui Min was wearing because it has an egg and a hen on it. Hahaha! :P

A huge rabbit!!

Compare the size of the rabbit with the person sitting behind!!
2) More fancy cakes! Yum!!

Finding Nemo: And I've found so many Nemos! :P

3) Beans, seeds, eggs, fruits, food and minerals

4) Sheep-sheering competition and sheep dog performance

Merino!

The Malaysian performance wasn't that great because funnily the performers spoke everything in Malay and sang all Malay songs. Well, I understood what they were saying, obviously, but have not heard of the songs before (because I rarely listen to Malay songs) and I think it was very weird to speak everything in Malay except for "Thank You" after the performance to a group of mostly foreign people and kids, visiting the Royal Show. But the food was great - it was the typical Malay food you can find in the Malay stalls at home! And it was cheaper than the ones selling in the shops around Perth. We ordered a LOT of food that day. Yum! :)

Up next, Royal Perth Show Part 2: the fireworks! :)
