It's been a very long time since I last sat for exams or had assignments from Uni. You know those days when you studied for a quiz or exam or had to do assignments and the marks will be contributed towards your final score? I remember that in some subjects, the lecturers told us that they would choose the best 3 quiz or assignment marks that will make up, say, 50% of the final score.
Well, if I were the lecturer, I wouldn't do that because it indirectly would tell the students to study very hard for 3 components and do extremely well, and don't have to bother about the other parts of the syllabus.
If I were the lecturer, I would choose the worst 3 scores to contribute to the final score so that the students would study all the topics of the subject and be good at everything. Tee hee hee.
