So we borrowed a car and went down on a day trip to Margaret River, 4 hours drive south of Perth. Pictures of Margaret River and the surrounds will be posted up in another post because there are so many photos taken!! :)
In this post, I'm just going to blog about chocolates and coffee. Chin Fei is a fan of coffee. He has to drink coffee at least once but not more than thrice, a day. He needs it to keep his stamina going for the entire day at work.
In Margaret River, he decided to visit the Yahava Koffeeworks to taste and buy a cup of coffee.

It is of no surprise to see many Caucasians in there too because a lot of them love coffee too, just like how Asians love chinese tea. Haha. The queue to taste roasted coffee was long. It seemed like there wasn't enough staff to handle the big crowd which many came down because of the long weekend break. The queue to buy coffee was also long and we had to wait for a good 10 minutes before Chin Fei's coffee was ready.

Honestly, we didn't feel that the coffee or chocolate (in my case) was any special to any other coffee shops out there. In fact, I think there are better ones too. But I guess it's because we didn't go try tasting the different types of coffee beans they offer but I doubt that it'll be any different from any other places selling coffee beans. I guess this place is just commercialised as one of the tourist destinations.
We also stopped by the Margaret River Chocolate Company. This was in Swan Valley and we visited this place on another day. Having been there before and bought their expensive chocolates (cost like 1 dollar plus for a piece of chocolate!!), we didn't buy any chocolates for ourselves. We just bought a chocolate gift pack for someone and left. I think Kit Kat tastes as good as the chocolates here! Why are these chocolates so over-rated?

Upcoming, the much awaited down south post with breathtaking views of Indian Ocean and Southern Ocean! Til then, ciao!
