Western Australians had the Queen's birthday holiday last weekend. With the long break, Chin Fei and I decided to take the opportunity to visit Margaret River, 4 hours down south of Perth, on a day trip since everyone said that we ought to go there because it is nice.
The trip down south will be posted in another post. The afternoon we got the car, we decided to drive to Cottlesloe Beach (again) just to hang out. :)

We didn't stay long because we decided to visit Kings Park (read this and this) for the wildflowers festival.

The flowers here are all so beautiful and with different species all planted together, it created a vibrant mix of colours. They were all so pretty to look at! Kings Park Botanical Gardens staff have really put in so much effort in planting and taking care of the plants and most of them are volunteers, you know!

Before we returned the car after our day trip, we had breakfast in Hillarys. Nice place to sit back and relax on a Sunday morning, sipping my hot chocolate. :)

Up next: Chocolates and coffee
