A weekend in Fremantle

Yesterday was a very fine sunny day and to celebrate a special occasion coming soon, Chin Fei decided to take me to Fremantle to have fish and chips for a late lunch/early dinner. So, after work (yep, I was working half day on Sunday), we took a train and head down to Fremantle.

There were lots of people at the train station because yesterday was a footy match between Fremantle and St Kilda. Luckily the train services weren't disrupted. In fact, there were more frequent trains to bring the spectators to the stadium.

We arrived Fremantle at close to 2.30 pm and I hadn't had breakfast nor lunch but just drank water the entire day so you could well imagine how hungry I was. I could eat a horse!

All the time that we visit Fremantle, we always order the seafood platter because then we can share that meal among the 2 of us and I tell you, it is really a big portion! But this time, Chin Fei decided to try something new and he ordered something different from the menu.

Chilli crab

Oysters

Grilled fish and chips

Seafood delight that includes fried fish, chips, fried prawns and fried scallops

Yes, you must be really shocked how we can finish everything but surprisingly, we did! No, actually Chin Fei did. Haha. We sat there for quite some time, chatting and watching people come and go while eating that soon it was already dinner time. -.-

While Chin Fei was busy finishing his crabs, I decided to camwhore. It was my first time using an SLR to camwhore in the public. You know, I'm not that vain. :P

and many more pictures that I know you'd be bored of seeing me....tee hee hee...

So after God knows how long, we finally finished up our dinner, and decided to take a stroll to the shore nearby while watching the sunset. Of course, the sunset in Fremantle cannot be compared to the one in Cottlesloe. Watching the sunset is one of the must-do things in Perth - it's even on one of the tourist information website!

The sun is shy

Footsteps

I had a fantabulous idea of asking Chin Fei to catch the sun for me. And this was what he did:

He was trying to form a heart shape around the sun but I guess you can't see the shape properly. This is my shot:

Who do you reckon is better? :P After the sun set, we took the train home and I had an unforgettable experience in the toilet due to the oysters. Note to self, never eat oysters on a very empty stomach.
